The State of Volunteering Report launched by Anthony Carbines on 19th October is the first of its kind. The report has estimated that volunteering contributed to a whopping $58.1 billion worth of economic value in 2019 alone. Data was collected that explains volunteering’s social, cultural and environmental benefits to each of us, as Victorians, and will also be used to inform the next Volunteer Strategy. The report is an evidence-based document that provides crucial information about the overall value of volunteering in Victoria. It also investigates the impact that COVID-19 has had on the volunteering sector, and in turn our communities. The report is available on Volunteering Victoria’s website.
