Reading Buddies make a significant difference to children and young people’s learning, self-esteem and confidence whilst providing teachers with much needed support for the Early Years Literacy Program at Benalla P – 12 College. Reading Buddies do not need formal qualifications in teaching, or literacy but they do need a love of reading and learning. Reading Buddies will be given ongoing training and support.
Time Required: Between 9 – 11 school days. (days flexible)
Skills Required: No formal qualifications, just patience and a love of reading. buddies need to be punctual and able to commit to the school year.
National Police Check, Working With Children’s Check and 2 referee’s required.
